Dave,
Thanks for the response ... This is really good information because I
was assuming the shock was going to have to be longer ... I also
"assumed" that MMax only did extended arms for chain drives ... cool
... Actually, when I get wrench itchy again and it is not 100 degrees
in my garage I want to pull the Royal swing arm off and measure it ...
I was thinking .. that since it already fit the "longer" driveshaft I
wanted to use, (the one that is in it), why not use it ??!? The left
shock mounts on the differential and the only thing I would be missing
would be a shock mount tab on the right side, (even the welders that I
know couldn't mess that up). There would be one set of tabs on the
front bar to cut off that attach the Royal single shock and we should
be in like flint. This is "assuming" again, (prior to actually
checking), that the front mounting bar is the same width ...
(otherwise it will have to be trimmed to match the Vmax frame and fool
with the bearing cups etc .. ). I have a feeling however .. (due to
the similarity of the engine block and the middle gear exit), that
they are going to be identical, (I hope). If not .. I guess MMax can't
be as expensive as MEK ....... (there I go assuming again .. sigh
.. ).
