Brian,
Congratulations on your purchase ... For your rough running at low
RPMs ... lets just try something easy first ... If the security caps
have been removed from the pilot mixture screws on your carbs ... then
take the screws out and pressurize the holes with a rubber tipped air
gun, (turn the screws all the way in before removal so that you can
record their settings). If this is currently a pain .. then take the
top of the airbox off and blast air into the "large" jet at the top of
each carb, (cover the balance of the top of the carb with a rag to
catch any fuel squirting straight up in the air ... this is the
easiest way to clear out the pilots of a stock bike without having to
drill something or find a special tool). I would also suggest that you
syncronize your carbuerators ........ I suspect this will liven things
up a bit ...
For tips ... I doub't they would all fit into one mail response ...
Take a look at the list web site ... http://www.sayegh.org/tips.htm ..
and follow any links from there ..... You will find a lot of material
to digest .... Then as you stumble on to something where you need a
more specific response just post another message ..... Be sure to
turn "off" you HTML format when posting to this list .. it causes
great pain and suffering for many of the subscribers ......
