Flashing Spark Plug Caps

I notice Dennis Kirk and others sell "flashing" spark plug caps.  Sounds
like they would look neat at night.

Has anyone tried them?  Do they hurt performance?  Any opinions?

Seems like they would rob energy away from the spark but I guess it would
all depend on how much energy they use.
