If you want a awsome sound.... When I was up at the Aspincade, they had a parking lot "rumble competition". Of course they had the stright piped Harley's that got a few cheers, but the poor plastic bikes got booed out of the lot. I pulled the can off of my holeshot 4-1(it's the same as the hyndel) and took center stage. A couple of revs on the old max and the croud came to there feet. Even the die hard harley guys stood up. I brought the RPM's to around 7,000 and popped the clutch and let out a a 10' cloud of blue smoke. Need less to say Mr. Max stole the show. The most common statement was that it sounded like a World of Outlaws V8 Sprint Car. When I got back in El Paso. I went to a muffler shop and had a two foot extention with a flange made to fit over the pile's collector. The collector is 2 1/4". I places a 3 1/2" "horn" on the end, but this destroyed the throatty sound and brought the pitch whay up. Any body want it? Next I am going to try a just a slash cut 2' extention onto the 2 1/4" collector. And finally a the same but with a duel splitter slash cut 2" "Y" on the end.
