This is for anyone whose ever installed a 4-2-1 on their Max. I put the pipe on this past w/e and it looks great. The only problem I had was when I was clamping the silencer onto the collector it never would get tight. After I cranked it down with the socket wrench and an open end wrench for leverage it still wouldn't get tight. I could still wiggle the silencer around on the collector. Well to make a long story short - I broke the 2.5 clamps nut off the stud trying to get it tight. There is a set screw that goes thru the silencer into the collector that keeps it from coming off, but its still loose. Did I do something wrong here? I was thinking about having the clamp (which is over the silencer) welded to the collector, but i'm worried about appearances. Any suggestions?
