Comment #3 by erik.corry: This is a limitation we have inherited from JavaScriptCore. We use their code for regular expressions. Since we want to stay as compatible as possible with JSC/Safari I would like to change this when they change it and not before. I have updated their bug https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14873 with a patch.
