You can put a test into a new file: test/mjsunit/regress/regress-8187.js.

But see the comment I just left on the bug: I'm not sure whether we want to
change V8's behavior here. Rejecting strings that we have previously
accepted harbors the risk of breaking existing websites. The fact that
apparently (I haven't verified) all other browsers agree here probably
lowers that risk significantly though.
