atcrabtree, I do like that solution better than underscores. It's relatively simple, but any solution to this improvement/bug does require extra logic and that means an extra chance for any developer to mess up. I thought we had enough bugs to deal with already. :)
Indrek, I'd assume the CCed chromium devs are the ones to ping if we wanted to hit them up directly. I'll probably end up drafting up an e-mail to em sometime soon. It's unfortunate the only Google responses have been merges and Comment #9:
"This is working as intended. If you run the dev channel release on Windows, you will see the same behavior that you are seeing on Linux (returns keys numbers first and the rest in insertion order)."
With no counter arguments the community has brought up over the last 2 years and about 100 comments later.
