I have been successful in building V8 (trunk) under VS2005, x86 using the
included VS project file. I did have to make some modifications to the
project in order to get it to build with my machine's setup--don't recall
what they were, and I changed some of the prerequisites so my changes are
specific to my setup.
I find that looking at the build log ("BuildLog.htm", in the output
directory, often contains helpful error messages which you don't see in the
Errors view in VS.
