Thanks for the encouragement, Pearl.  My tow vehicle is an extended 1984
Ford diesel van, probably 19 to 20 feet in length itself.  It's every
bit as big as a Class B motorhome.  I wish there were a way to rent a
long trailer for a few days, to try it.

I'm in the market for a 24 footer, ideally.  Call it cowardice, but the
idea of driving the combo of "Beelzebub" the van and a 30 foot trailer
of any kind is a bit daunting.  I've had the van since October and am
getting pretty comfortable backing. I can back into tight spaces far
more easily than I can get into them headfirst.  Go figure.

Perhaps I'll just go take a little peek at this Airstream...
