You might want to talk to Rick Bragg (from gmnet - I think he is on this list.. email me off-list for his address if he doesnt pickup on this). He is doing some work with integrating an ecommerge package with a Bicycle POS system that a friend of his developed. It might be a workable commercial solution, if a commercial solution is on the list of options.
