Gitg does.  See https://git.gnome.org/browse/gitg/tree/gitg/Makefile.am
for the automake stuff.  GRESGEN is just a variable they define in the
top level Makefile.am—normally you would call $(GLIB_COMPILE_RESOURCES)
there.
