Sorry to jump into this discussion, but I think I can shed some light on
this. I have a machine here that runs FreeBSD 6.2 and indeed in
/usr/ports/devel there are two ports: valgrind and valgrind-snapshot. I've
installed the snapshot version and it identifies itself as 'Using
valgrind-2.1.0'. So it's a quite old version unfortunately.
I've tried hacking about the configure file to compile the 3.3 version but
I'm not very versed in that kind of black magic. Has anybody succeeded? I'd
love to have a more recent version available..
