Unless showstopper bugs are found (and cannot be easily fixed)
the final 3.28.0 release is scheduled for this Fri Oct 23.

* ==================== CORE CHANGES ===================

* There is a new client request

  - VALGRIND_RUNNING_VERSION returns the Valgrind version that
    the guest executable is running under. The value returned
    is a decimal value in the form Mmm where M is the major
    version and mm is the minor version. For instance, this
    release returns 328. Returns 0 if the executable is not
    running under Valgrind, or is running under a version older
    than 3.28.

* Support for zstd compressed debug sections has been updated
  to zstd version 1.5.7.

* ================== PLATFORM CHANGES =================

* x86: Support for SSE4.1 and SSE4.2 instructions has been ported from
  AMD64 to (32bit) x86. Valgrind will now advertise support for
  SSE4.1, SSE4.2, POPCNT and LZCNT through cpuid emulation if the host
  cpu supports those instruction sets (e.g. when 32bit x86 code runs
  on x86_64).

* arm64: Add support for the EOR3 instruction.

* s390x: Implement DIDBR and DIEBR instructions.

* macOS 10.14 Mojave (x86) is now supported, thanks to the addition
  of SSE4.1 support on x86.

* linux ioctl UFFDIO_* are recognized for userfaultfd support. Add
  support for the open_tree_attr syscall.

* The Linux Test Project (LTP) v20260930 was integrated.

* ==================== TOOL CHANGES ===================

* The massif ms_print script used to view results as text has a new
  --peak-only option. This is intended for use in Continuous Integration
  systems, making peak memory usage easier to parse.
