Hi,

just an update - since we made those changes our Varnish instance is still up 
and running. I did some other changes:

- Removed „set beresp.ttl = 0s;“ in vcl_backend_response and added 
default_ttl=0 in Varnish startup
- Removed the whole inline C-Code - replaced with Varnish own s-maxage handling

I’ll keep you informed if this solved our problems …
