Hi Bruce, As Rodney mentioned, just adding a key command and leaving the command text blank should add an invisible key command.
My new 'Restrict Commands' option is to completely suppress a menu command, both the text and the execution of it, depending on circumstances. Sub-menus are easy and can be added after ervything else, you just add a sub-menu and type in the names of the Text commands you want to appear on the sub menu. So to use sub-menus, you have to leave the command names in. Cheers, brent. >*********** REPLY SEPARATOR *********** > >On 11/07/2006 at 6:37 PM Bruce Sears wrote: >hmmm... i just noticed the post about vassal 2.7 beta and something >about suppressing menu options. will that cover what i want to do here? > >thanks for all the work on vassal! > >bruce > >--- In [email protected], "Bruce Sears" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >> >> hi all, >> >> we're putting the finishing touches on a TK2 module, and i'd like to >> know if there is any way to make key commands for units such that they >> do not appear in the pop-up menu for the unit. to be specific, i'm >> using control-arrow commands for ground unit movement along the hex >> grid, and they work fine, but the six commands then appear in the >> unit's pop-up menu, which just crowds the menu more with commands >> no-one would ever use via the pop-up menu. can such commands be added >> to the ground unit prototype without automatically appearing in the >> pop-up command listing? >> >> thanks for any advices, >> >> bruce >> ____________________________________________________________ Brent Easton Analyst/Programmer University of Western Sydney Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------ Yahoo!
