Mario, When it asks you to save the file as Down in Flames v1.0.0.zip change the zip to .mod . so it reads this "Down in Flames v1.0.0.mod"
A vassal mod is a zip file and you can actually select it , play, load or edit as "Down in Flames v1.0.0.zip" and it should run. It has become standard practice to call them .mod. I've double checked it , I only play DiF using the cards or DVG's Computer version. Links provided to the FTP are time sensitive and any you may have received or are using may be expired. How it is mixed with DiF I do not know nor should it be as I didn't make that mod :) If you didn't email me for a d/l link, chances are any you get are no good Files do not necessarily d/l as .mod from the vassal site. If the file you are trying to run has no extension or is a .zip, simply rename it to have a .mod extension and give that a try.
