Why would you want to make them the opposite?
It seems that would just confuse users who have learned the meaning
from other Vassal modules that they play. Why would you want yours
to work differently from everybody else's?
If you think the current graphics are backwards, perhaps you should
argue for a general change.
Otherwise, it would be better if you had your own graphics that didn't
resemble the current ones at all, so as to avoid user confusion.
