Primary Duties and Responsibilities Utilize both commercial and proprietary software tools Oversee the creation of visually stunning 2D & 3D effects Design and create in-game and pre-rendered special effects Collaborate with art and design team on game engine capabilities and limitations to achieve highest quality effects Perform research to acquire new knowledge necessary to perform assigned tasks Minimum Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 3+ years professional experience in videogame development, with at least two years focus on particle and special effects work for shipped videogame titles Creative and innovative pc game development experience with demonstrated ability to ship quality titles under demanding game development schedules Expert-level skills in 3D graphics, particle systems, dynamics, shaders and relevant commercial software applications; Max preferred All-around experience with computer game technologies Ability to quickly master proprietary tools and development processes Capable of working both as a member of a team, and individually with minimum supervision Language Skill Good written and oral English communication skills must. Location The position will be in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
