Hi, Pierre. Quick note, you didn't have to do this yourself, as I updated the Vassal module to v1.2 on the Vassal website back on Feb. 9th (and made a module updater file for v1.1) which incorporates this fix.
But to answer your question, adding the "Mark When Moved" trait to the various unit prototype definitions is all that's necessary, adding it to the individual units is just redundant. However, note that this change only affects units created after the making the change. In other words, games from the scenario presets from v1.1 or saved under the previous version will have units that do not have the altered traits. So if you were opening up a saved game or one of the preset scenarios after making the change, you were seeing the old unit prototypes, not the new ones. To check the new units, you'd have to open up a new map and draw units from the "Units" control panel window onto it to test them. You could try the saved game updater on any saved games, though I have never had much luck with that. I went through all the preset scenarios from v1.1 and replaced all the units on each board set up for v1.2 of the module that is currently available from the Vassal website. So only games created from v1.2 will work properly.
