Just tried it on a Mac here, and it's working fine. I have, in my
modules directory:

BattleLorev1.2.mod.zip
BattleLorev1.2.mod_ext/
BattleLorev1.2.mod_ext/CalltoArms.zip

Between Safari creatively over-riding file extensions and the confusion
between how PCs and Macs recognise, treat and display file extensions,
it can be a bit confusing sometimes. I usually find the:

ModuleName.mod.zip
ModuleName.mod_ext/
ModuleName.mod_ext/Extension.zip

pattern works.

Cheers,
Tim.
