[vassalengine] Copying a property sheet from one piece to another, in game?

I have a property sheet with 7 values associated with a piece. I would
like to use the "replace piece" command, but retain the property sheet.

I tried to set up a bunch of global temp variable, replace the piece,
and copy them back. This did not update the values on the property sheet.

Any way to copy the entire sheet at once, or make these new values
show up in the property sheet itself?
