In my auditing days, I was an auditor at an abattoir. They had a white goat that they used to lead the sheep up a ramp. The sheep would blindly follow the goat up the ramp, where they were slaughtered.
Here is an interesting article regarding - MS VB VB.Net (The Goat) The Future (particularly for those that follow the goat) http://www.joelonsoftware.com/printerFriendly/articles/APIWar.html Rob Crombie PS I realize that not all of you are BLINDLY following the goat. Some of you realize that the hiring is better. I am only picking on those that think VB.Net is the holy grail, and don't stop to question MS's inability to use 'KISS' and avoid complexity, and unnecesary changes. The goat has become a mountain goat, and will be hard to keep up with. Years ago, developers would say -I don't mind complexity, and the boss will pay for my retraining. Now the boss will say - Let's outsource (overseas). ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> $9.95 domain names from Yahoo!.
