Patricia, You don't say what it is you are trying to do here, so it is very difficult to answer your question. If it is simple word processing you are doing, have a look at the richtextcontrol. It does about all the word processing functionality that the write application does. If it is something like mathematical formulas, you are basically on your own. They are usually not written in VB at all because the process involves mainly GDI work with VB is a little slow at.
