The primary role of the Tableau Architect is to develop effective and
high-quality data solutions built on Tableau that meet customer
requirements supporting Central Logic’s Transfer Center software. Technical
abilities include the following, Tableau, ETL (SQL), Business Intelligence
(BI) best practices, data management, security and content administration,
performance tuning, training, and system testing support. This role will
interface with the customer to support their implementation and reporting
needs acting in a consulting manner to be a thought leader and offer
necessary training. The role is a mix of project-based Analyst work(30%)
and Dashboard Development(50%) and customer facing interaction(20%).



*Job Responsibilities / Tasks:*



   - Data visualization - Design Tableau dashboards to support business
   requirements
   - Support Customer Analytics - understand customer business needs and
   help define requirements for reporting solutions and design appropriate
   data solution
   - Data analysis - Perform detailed data analysis, understand data
   structure and content, write SQL queries
   - Establish standards - Follow data visualization best practices,
   performance tuning, create/maintain report design related templates and
   artifacts
   - Training – Experience in supporting and training customer facing
   dashboards.
   - Proactive and diligent in identifying and communicating scope, design,
   development issues and recommending potential solutions
   - Provide subject matter expertise of Tableau around data movement and
   manipulation best practices around ETL, data quality assurance, and
   cleansing.
   - Work with customers to help establish report design standards and best
   practices
   - Meet with customers that have expressed interest in Tableau to
   determine their needs with regard to data analytics
   - Support standardized Tableau workbooks
   - Develop Tableau workbooks identified by customers
   - Develop new Tableau visuals for the business and modify past developed
   visuals
   - Assist business with identifying data needed for dashboards
   - Provide and train customers on data access privileges and permission
   strategy
   - Provide training and mentoring to customers as applicable
   - Provide training to customers on the use of Tableau & Tableau Server
   - Assist technical team with industry best practice for Tableau Server
   management
   - Create project / workbook documentation
   - Prepare appropriate status reports and submit to management and
   stakeholders
   - Provide knowledge transfer



*Experience & Skills:*



   - Minimum of 8+ years of advanced Tableau report development
   - 2+ years of ETL experience using non coding environments or SQL
   (Oracle, MySQL Server, Teradata or similar) or other ETL tool
   - 2+ years of Financial Services / Payments domain knowledge a plus
   - 2+ years of Enterprise Data Warehouse data models and dimensional
   modeling concepts
   - Knowledge of software Design, software Testing, software Maintenance,
   software development process software requirements, software architecture
   - General Consulting Skills
   - Excellent problem solving skills
   - Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage expectations
   and explain technical detail
   - Excellent oral and written communication skills
   - Work independently, and have the ability to learn and assimilate
   information quickly.
   - Knowledge of Cognos to Tableau Migration project
