ServiceNow Developer/architect

Work Arrangement: Remote





Summary

The ServiceNow Developer will design, configure, and deliver advanced
ServiceNow solutions with a focus on Customer Service Management (CSM) and
Public Sector Digital Services (PSDS). This role supports digital
transformation initiatives, enhances citizen service delivery, and
streamlines case management processes within the State of Tennessee. The
developer will collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather
requirements, build scalable and compliant solutions, integrate with
external government systems, and support ongoing enhancements aligned with
public sector standards.



General Responsibilities

Solution Design & Development

• Configure and customize ServiceNow CSM and PSDS modules to meet
public-sector needs.

• Develop workflows, case lifecycles, business rules, and automated
processes.

• Build integrations with external government systems and data sources.

• Create Service Portal experiences and self-service interfaces for
citizens and staff.



Implementation & Delivery

• Collaborate with business users and program teams to translate
requirements into technical solutions.

• Implement features that support proactive service delivery, transparency,
and user engagement.

• Ensure all solutions follow scalability, performance, and compliance
requirements.



Integration & Support

• Integrate ServiceNow with legacy platforms, CRM/ERP systems, and
third-party applications.

• Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for CSM and
PSDS modules.

• Maintain thorough documentation of configurations, customizations, and
integration points.



Governance & Best Practices

• Adhere to ServiceNow development standards and coding best practices.

• Ensure compliance with public-sector security, accessibility, and
data-privacy requirements.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous platform
improvement.



Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow CSM and/or PSDS modules.

• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow architecture, modules, and integration
methods (REST, SOAP, etc.).

• Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub.

• Experience with Service Portal development and custom UI/UX components.

• Background in platform security, access controls, and compliance.

• 3+ years of ServiceNow development experience.

• Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems via REST/SOAP
APIs.

• Familiarity with platform upgrades, health scans, and performance best
practices.



Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Knowledge of public-sector service delivery frameworks and citizen
engagement models.
