Note that as of time of writing, i386-elf-gcc will not build on Leopard. As a workaround issue ....
Fiftheen minutes ago I was able to seamlessly build i386-elf-gcc without the need of the workaround, I just typed "port -v install i386- elf-gcc" and it's done.
