ok, the very latest (svn 27849) fixed the issue, 2 vcpu Ubuntu boots well now. 
Yesterday's svn had the problems.

I have a vm created by 3.1.2 that has 2 vcpus, unable to boot using latest src.
 
boot well with latest code if change vcpu to 1.
 
Used to work very well with 3.1.2.
 
Can you check?
