I read the article on NT Insider about your tool. It looks very interesting. 
Kernel Debuging with COM under vbox sometimes gets extremely slow, and 
sometimes, it just simply freezes. 
 
I may include it into our vmlite build. Is the windbg extension also open 
source?

The  tool  is  free  and  open-source, so anyone who wants to speed up
kernel  debugging  under  VirtualBox  can  freely  use  it. As for the
Microsoft  developers,  I  do  not  know  which  tools  are they using
internally.
