If you're talking about Windows host, that is true... but I thought you were
trying to debug something on a Linux host? In which case the hardening approach
is completely different and with sufficient privileges, you can run and debug
anything you want.

Well, I hope that someone corrects my if I'm wrong, but as far as I understand,
due to hardening I can't run a custom frontend with 4.3.14+ without recompiling
from sources with hardening disabled or adding my binary to the list of trusted
frontends, so in that case I can as well build from source and debug what
exactly is going wrong.
