Greetings --

I have downloaded and installed VirtualBox-OSE, version 3.1.4 onto my
Ubuntu Karmic (9.10) system. Synaptic shows that it IS installed. I
now have two questions --

FIRST, I do NOT see it represented by any term or icon -- what do I
probably need to do to launch VirtualBox?

SECOND, This Ubuntu box started existence as OpenSuSE 10.2, became
Kubuntu Jaunty (9.04), and only recently became Ubuntu. I had a very
old version of VirtualBox-OSE running under Jaunty (but NOT under
OpenSuSE), and this IS backed-up on the same hard disk drive. I most
certainly DO have access to the WinXP Pro *.vdi -- which includes one
rather massive application. Once I find VirtualBox here (under Ubuntu
Karmic), what do I do to most quickly and easily return that Windows
guest to service?
