Hello. I've been using VBox (3.2.8 r64453) to run XP guest on a linux host (Kubuntu 9.10). I tried to make my serial port visible so I can acess a serial programmer for embedded devices.
On the VM configurations / Serial Ports / Port 1 I had it enabled, set to COM1 on the guest, and pointing to /dev/ttyS0 on the host. I start the VM, there is no error message either in a popup or in VBox.log, but the XP guest does not list the port in Device Manager / Serial ports. Any ideas?
