I'm starting to use VB a little more serious from my
previous simple tests. I'm virtualizing most of my
services, and ran in to some ... questions.

I've created a VM with 10Gb fixed disk space and
I see that it occupies about that on the FS. But
then I also created some snapshots...

Will the utilization on the disk be 10Gb + that
of the snapshots? Or is the snapshot size included
in the 10Gb I created?
I don't get a clear answer to this in the documentation...

If it's not included, how can I 'apply' the changes
to the top-parent image, and scratch the snapshots?
Not ideal, but I can use snapshots only for testing
purposes...

This is my private/personal system(s) and I don't
always have the cash to buy new harddisks (in time)
so I often run the FS 'to the brim', leaving my
VM's not able to increase the disk image files.
That's why I want to have a fixed size of my
VM's, so that no matter what, they have the room
to run as expected...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Virtualization is moving to the mainstream and overtaking non-virtualized
environment for deploying applications. Does it make network security
easier or more difficult to achieve? Read this whitepaper to separate the
two and get a better understanding.
