Hi guys, I recently purchased an external soundcard with USB
interface, however it has driver only for Windows as its manufacturer
claimed....So I'll have to mount it in my virtual Windows XP guest,
which is under a Linux host.

But the sound comes out with pretty much "blasts" and thus it can't be
used for enjoying music.

Tried in another XP guest(XP guest in a XP host) and the problem still
exists. I installed virtualbox extension pack for USB2.0 support and
things got a little bit improved but still unacceptable. Tried to
renice the virtualbox process to a quite low value and found it of no
help at all(and made other things quite sluggish:P)

So what's the problem around there? Does it have something to do with
the virtualbox's USB interface? The card worked quite well under that
XP host....Any reply would be appreciated and of course, thanks in
advance!
