Hi,
According to this bug report, OS X Lion should work with VirtualBox 4.0.10+:

Yet it fails for me with a "This version of OS X is not supported on this
platform" error :-?
Host: Mac OS X 10.6.7, MacBook Pro 5,2 (Intel Core 2 Duo T9600, 8GB RAM),
VirtualBox 4.1.2
