This is probably available by google, but guessing the correct strings
to unearth it is a different matter.

Can anyone point me to information that tells how much CPU and Ram one
should expect VirtualBox itself to draw?

That is, excluding any that a guest being run might use.

Maybe it can only be discussed in terms of actual details of setup.
If so, my hardware is quite sub par.

P4 with Celeron 3.06Ghz  CPU and 2 GB ram (single core)

On that hardware what should I expect to see from VirtualBox?
