Hi all,
As you may know I've been active in the VirtualBox world for years.
What has changed?
Android. After returning from day work I find myself spending 70% of my
time on Android device and barely touching the PC anymore.
Especially the new Galaxy SIII has blown me away completely with its HD
screen (1280x720, 4.8"), long battery life, ability to play HD video with
WebM codec and the ability to browse the Internet including non-optimized
websites on mobile. Amazing new features such as ability to track eyes and
keep display from turning off definitely helps. Above all is that it uses
the open Android ecosystem and builds upon it.
Opportunity for VirtualBox is that Android will be ported to desktop soon
by using a desktop multi touch touch pad. See new patent here:
http://www.patentlyapple.com/patently-apple/2012/02/google-patent-clearly-eying-the-desktop-market-for-android.html
That said I will be around in future and will keep contributing to
VirtualBox and it's user community.
If anyone is aware of desktop Android images that support Google Play
Android Market please let me know.
Best wishes,
-Alexey Eromenko " Technologov "
sent from my Android-based Samsung Galaxy S3.
