Hi,
I have a motherboard capable of having two cpus. It currently has a single
AMD-V capable Opteron 2216 (2.4 Ghz, dual-core). But I could add a second
CPU cheaply, which would give me 2x AMD-V enabled Opteron 2216 (4 cores
total).
I wonder if Virtualbox is capable of taking advantage of a SMP system and
assign for instance virtual machine 1 to physical CPU 1 and virtual machine
2 to CPU 2.
Since both have amd-v I guess that would make for a great performance
improvement over 2 VMs and a single CPU... (even if that single cpu is amd
opteron, dual core)...
thoughts?
