Hej all,

being a fan of VirtualBox since long pre-Oracle, I downloaded the actual
version from two weeks ago (4.2.4r81684) and installed it on a brand-new
HP Notebook 4740s with Win7-64bit.

Some days before, I prepared a virtual WinXP on my Debian-Notebook with
VirtualBox 3.x with some software that should run later on the HP.

So I exported the VM an imported it on the HP.

Now that I have the final installation I realized the VM is awesome
slow. On my Linux box, the CPU for the VirtualBox was single core, so
the XP installation was for a single CPU, I switched to quadcore in the
Virtualbox-settings and made the XP using the multicore but still it is
very slow. GuestAdditions are installed

Is this a known problem in this release?
What can I do further to tune it up??

Thanks in advance,

Boris
