Yes, that's what I did:
VBoxManage guestcontrol 'Windows Vista (64-bit)' exec \
--image 'C:\\Windows\\System32\\cmd.exe' --username myuser \
--password mypassword ls
following the usage info:
VBoxManage guestcontrol <vmname>|<uuid>
exec[ute]
--image <path to program>
--username <name> --password <password>
[--dos2unix]
[--environment "<NAME>=<VALUE> [<NAME>=<VALUE>]"]
[--timeout <msec>] [--unix2dos] [--verbose]
[--wait-exit] [--wait-stdout] [--wait-stderr]
[-- [<argument1>] ... [<argumentN>]]
Still, just a black inert window pops up on the VM guest.
