I might be mixing some terminology here, sorry if that gets confusing. I'm trying to do some script work for home use with virtualbox, I find myself wanting to check from within the guest what hypervisor I'm running on. e.g. if host guest G is running as a VM on host H, I'd like to run some command and find H from G. I know this wouldn't normally something that the guest would care about, and I'm not sure it should matter to me, but I'd think there would be a way to find such a thing. Google hasn't really given me any useful pointers, though I should try here.
