Hi Folks, I have an esoteric question that may or may not be appropriate for this forum. I'm doing a research paper on virtualization and wanted to illicit the groups input. I've been on the web, but am not finding the sources I need, even using Google Scholar.
Here goes: Does anyone have a source on the interface between the generic Virtual Machine Monitor (VMM) interface with Host Hardware, what the literature refers to as the "Semantic Gap. What ports are involved? What system calls are used? These issues refer to possible VM intrusions on the VMM by rootkits primarily. Any leads or references from your past searchers are apprecitated.
