Christoph,
I already have a programme in place to migrate away from
Microsoft, for all non-front-facing machines but there are one or two key
issues which need to be addressed before it will be completed.
This is due largely to a lack of testing time but one central issue is
that I need a Linux version or Linux equivalent of RDP which works as
effectively as RDP does in a Microsoft environment.
Before you make any suggestions may I point out that I have about 20
years less experience of Linux compared with Microsoft!

1. Who would voluntarily run Windoze as host in the first place? ;-) 2. WFM:
Host debian 8 on SSD; all sorts of guests on HDD, under them various Linux, W7
and W-X. No issues.
