Nope, you can’t do that, the key is rejected.
It is also rejected if you have to re-validate your upgraded instance, for some
reason, e.g. re-locating a VM.

Can you make a new win 10 vm from an ISO and use a Win 7 pin? I have a Win10
Home VM with guest additions that is fine, but have not worked with an upgrade
from 7.

Hi all.
I'm very uncertain on what's wrong! I have this almost vanilla win10 VM,
upgraded from Win7. I only have a financial program installed. I've had
problems installing Guest Additions for a while. I've tried several times to
install and the installation comes so far that the tray icon gets installed but
I cannot see the installation under installed programs. uninstall.exe is
missing so I cannot make a proper uninstall. I've posted several logs but have
had no luck in getting any help.
Is there any way to make a proper and total uninstall to get back to some kind
of point zero?
