My problem is as I said in the subject line. The weird this is that Windows 7 SAYS it has sound. Linux running on the box (that's running the vm) has sound, just not Windows. It's an older VB - virtualbox-4.3.32. I know probably the first thing you'll tell me to do is upgrade to the newest stable virtualbox, but I'm not sure I'm confident enough yet to do that. I've glanced at the forums at virtualbox website and seen about twenty threads reporting problems that sound like mine, but someone on this list commented about two weeks ago how they wished there was more traffic on this list, so I'm asking here now. Another problem I've noticed with the Windows guest is if I leave it alone for awhile it stops recognizing keyboard input. It stays that way until I power down the machine from the Virtualbox menu. I don't know if the two problems are related or not, but I just thought I'd throw it out there and see if it's familiar to anyone... -Michael Sullivan-
