Dear All

We have a problem when a VM is moved between subnets as the IP address is not given correctly by the DHCP server for the subnet on which the VM is placed, instead the VM continues to receive the same IP address each time.

We have created an environment of 2 NAT networks to study behaviour of a router. These are 10.0.2.0/24 and 10.0.3.0/24.

When we place our guest on NAT network 1 it receives an IP address of (eg) 10.0.2.4. However if we move this VM to the second network it continues to receive an IP address of 10.0.2.4, and not an address on the 10.0.3.0 network, and so does not work.

The workaround is to delete the lease file whilst VB is not running, but we would prefer if the DHCP server gave a correct address for the subnet.

Regards

Malcolm
