Dear VirtualBox Volunteers,
First of all, please accept my sincere appreciation to all the contributors
of this software.
As a non-native English speaker I tend to re-create basic words & phrases
to express deeper meanings. If you find them confusing, please ignore my
message.
It's been two years since the 4.3.28 version, and everything was fine until
I decided to upgrade to newer version and OS this year. After the
installation of 5.1.22 version, all of the new and old VMs failed to start
with MachineWrap error. I did some search on the mailing list and found
this identical one:

After hours of troubleshooting, it seems upgrading is the only solution.
But what if not? Minutes ago an idea came across my mind, and it is to
redirect VirtualBox to use another Windows path instead of C:\WINDOWS one.
Is it worth trying or should I give up? How to let an app use a different
set of system files and maybe registry keys?
