Speaking only from personal past experience, to date, All I have ever seen
VirtualBox do is Virtualization, not emulation.

Don't have the latest VirtualBox on my Solaris host yet, but just installed the upgrade on my Apple server yesterday. I'll have to go look for the new name.

I (personally) have serious doubts, but RISC emulation, on top of the virtualization that is already there would certainly be a pleasant surprise, if correct.

Hi.

Was trying to install CentOS 7.4.1708. Noticed something. The entire x86_64 subtree is missing. Instead we now have an aarch64 subtree. This is the new name for the old x86_64 architecture apparently. This new aarch64 seems to be a RISC architecture rather than the CSC architecture.

I thought I would ask before I waste time trying to install it. Anybody know it VBOX will run the new architecture? Or am I missing something here. The i386 subtree is still there. Thanks.

Chris Johnson.
