I think quite a few people have reported this, the problem has seemed to
be related to the guest additions, it is perfectly OK to stay on
Virtualbox 6.1.6 and install the Guest Additions 6.1.4 to overcome the
problem, also try setting driver to "VBoxSVGA" rather than "VMSVGA".
I expect it will be sorted shortly, I've seem a bug report raised (don't
have a link to hand).
also try switching from Xwayland to Xorg for the guest. AT least I have a
couple
of working guests all running Xorg while the failing ones are with
Xwayland.
