I have now updated completely and am running Virtual Box 6.1.8 in a Windows host, with the compatible 6.1.8 iso file mounted on the Linux guest virtual machine.

The problem I reported before persists. During the virtual machine boot process, the machine hangs for at least two minutes and reports that it is recompiling kernel modules. It is NOT doing so, as they already exist and are properly loaded according to the Linux machine log files. And everything, including a shared folder works properly.

The question is simply: why is VBox pausing to handle modules, and why is it reporting incorrectly that they have to be recompiled?
